Siang Seafood Restaurant @ Sogo, KL

1 of our favourite shopping malls is SOGO, KL. We been here so many times but didn’t notice there is seafood Chinese Restaurant served dim sum. Siang Seafood Restaurant located @ 6th floor, Sogo Shopping mall.
We wanted to have ‘halal dim sum’ & here we go.. Earlier we had in Crystal Jade @ The Gardens (non-halal) but the choices are very less according to our liking…I just love dim sum and a great place for halal dim sum. Beside dim sum, they have other varieties on the menu.
 Dim Sum Menu
 Chicken Siew Mai (RM6.50)
 Shanghai Dumpling (RM6.00)
 BBQ Chicken Pau (RM6.00)
 Watermelon Juice (RM8.00) & Longan Ice (RM6.00)

The unique culinary art of dim sum originated with the Cantonese in Southern China & dim sum was originally not a main meal, only a snack but now days dim sum become a main course as well. A dim sum meal was good, we wanted a simple lunch and we got a simple one.

A good casual place for lunch and dinner.

Legend’s Claypot Briyani House @ Brickfields

It is my 2nd visit to The Legend’s. My 1st visit was in Sri Serdang branch many moons ago. The Legend’s @ Brickfields newly open few months ago. They are specializing in Claypot Briyani and Banana Leaf Cuisine (Southern Indian cuisine).
We ordered specialty of the house, claypot briyani rice. There are a few varieties - Chicken (RM14.90), prawns (RM16.90), mutton, fish, seafood and vegetarian. The rice is fluffy and fragrant while the prawns & chicken which I tried was juicy and tender. They top it with a hard boiled egg with mint leaves.

I personally don't like curry on my Biryani, preferring to taste the rice instead.
This Biryani was nicely spiced but not too oily and the chicken and prawns were tender and flavorsome.

Overall, I was pretty happy with the food.
